I actually found myself doing exactly that most mornings, watching the city wake up below while the Sandton business district buzzed to life in the distance.
What really struck me about this four-star setup is how it manages to feel like a proper home rather than just another serviced apartment. The kitchen is actually functional – I mean, you can cook real meals here, not just reheat takeout. The layout flows well too, which sounds boring but honestly makes such a difference when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. The bedroom gets great natural light without being too bright (you know how some places feel like interrogation rooms), and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showerheads that actually has decent water pressure. Small thing, but it matters when you’ve been walking around Sandton City all day.
Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned without being in the thick of the chaos. Fredman Drive puts you close enough to Nelson Mandela Square that you can walk there when the weather’s nice, but far enough that you don’t hear the weekend crowds. The Gautrain station is maybe a ten-minute walk, which is clutch if you need to get to OR Tambo without dealing with Johannesburg traffic – and trust me, you want to avoid that traffic whenever possible. There’s decent parking in the building too, which anyone who’s tried to park in Sandton will appreciate. The neighborhood feels safe, especially compared to some other parts of the city, and there are enough restaurants and shops within walking distance that you don’t feel stranded. I particularly liked having easy access to those little cafés along Rivonia Road – perfect for grabbing a proper South African breakfast before heading out for the day. The whole experience just felt… well, it felt like staying somewhere that someone actually thought through what travelers need, rather than just throwing together whatever amenities sounded impressive on paper.

Location was sensational. Lovely studio. We liked it so much we are looking at buying one. Tastefully furnished and everything is quality. The views are amazing and no one to look in on you. Really appreciate that. And something has to be said for Soul Souvlaki – the restaurant on the ground floor. Their food was some of the best casual eating we have ever had! There is enough on the menu to keep you busy for a week. Coffee is amazing too.
