The location in Johannesburg is pretty smart if you ask me. Marshall Street isn’t the flashiest address, but you’re basically in the heart of things without dealing with the tourist crowds. I mean, you can walk to decent restaurants and the business district without needing an Uber every five minutes, which is honestly refreshing in a city where everything usually feels spread out. The staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood too – they pointed me toward this little coffee spot around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise. Check-in was smooth, no weird hidden fees or pushy upselling, and they sorted out parking without making it feel like a major production.

What really sells this place though is that it feels like someone put actual thought into the guest experience. The rooms are comfortable without being over-the-top fancy – good lighting for working, proper blackout curtains (crucial in Joburg with all the early morning street activity), and bathrooms that are actually designed for real people, not just Instagram photos. The Wi-Fi actually works consistently, which you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case. I stayed during a busy conference week and the place never felt chaotic or understaffed. The restaurant serves solid food that’s not trying to be something it’s not – good local flavors mixed with international options that don’t feel like an afterthought. And honestly, for a 9.1 rating, I was skeptical going in, but after staying there, I get it. It’s not perfect – the elevator can be a bit slow during peak times, and street noise is noticeable if you’re a light sleeper – but it delivers on what matters most: comfortable rooms, reliable service, and that feeling like you’re staying somewhere that gets what travelers actually need rather than what some marketing department thinks they want.

  The apartment was clean and well set up for occupancy. The hostess was fabulous and helpful and stayed in contact with me during my stay. The kitchen had everything that I needed and it was easy to access the property. There is 24 hour security in the building.

  EXACTLY LIKE THE ADVERTISEMENT! Communication with the host, building security and staff, location, nearby restaurants and shops. Only a 10 minute walk to the tour bus stop. The apartment always had a fresh, clean smell. Have everything you need, EVEN AN IRON. Make sure you check out DA VALT, connected to the building. Recently opened, beautiful decor, great prices, great food, and amazing staff. They offer breakfast, lunch, and nightlife with DJ. Tell them Keysha from US sent you. YOU WON'T REGRET IT!! The two combinations made me extend my reservation. Will return!

  I liked the scent of the room the atmosphere the neatness the space ..Room was fully equipped with also things that I didn't expect,the Dstv the air-conditioner,comfortable bed and couch,all cutlery was there pots all sizes dish cloth and towel, lamp for whn it's loadshedding and also updates of loadsheddinto preparemy self the landlordmy sure of that,the room was fully equipped even at bathroom we found nail cutter kit earbuds,cotton wool things that I never seen in all my bookings,hand wash and lotions with bubble bath cream.The most outstanding for me was the DSTV because with that I had a choice ..not watching someone personal likes of recordings…Cloud ink will choose you every time I need a space for my Serenity.
