You know what caught me off guard about Daily Fresh Farmhouse? The name makes it sound like some rustic countryside retreat, but when you’re driving down De Deur Road in Johannesburg, you realize this four-star spot is actually this perfect blend of farm-style charm and proper city convenience. I mean, you’re still in Joburg – you can hear the distant hum of the city – but there’s something genuinely peaceful about how they’ve set up this place on Plot 73.

Honestly, the rooms surprised me the most. They’ve got this whole farmhouse aesthetic going without making it feel like you’re sleeping in your grandmother’s spare bedroom, if you know what I mean. The beds are seriously comfortable (I’m talking sink-right-in comfort), and the bathrooms are way more spacious than you’d expect. What I really appreciated was the attention to those little details – decent water pressure, actually good WiFi, and windows that don’t rattle when a truck passes by on De Deur Road. The staff genuinely seems to care about getting things right, which isn’t always a given even at well-rated places. Check-in was smooth, and they actually knew the area well enough to give solid recommendations about where to grab dinner nearby.

The whole property has this relaxed vibe that’s hard to fake – maybe it’s the way they’ve landscaped everything, or how the common areas don’t feel like they’re trying too hard to impress. Parking‘s easy, which anyone who’s driven around Joburg will appreciate. I stayed there during what felt like a pretty busy period, but it never felt crowded or noisy. Actually, the mornings were surprisingly quiet considering you’re not exactly in the middle of nowhere. The breakfast setup is solid too – nothing fancy, but fresh and well-prepared. What struck me most was how this place manages to feel like a genuine escape without being inconveniently far from anything. It’s one of those spots where you can actually unwind after a long day of meetings or sightseeing, and that’s honestly worth its weight in gold when you’re traveling.

  Apartment is very spacious. Fully furnished kitchen. I did not utilise all the amenities. What i did use was fabulous.
  
  What could be improved: Only one bathroom. Needs another toilet. I believe the host is still renovating the master bedroom. This will definitely help with the single toilet as the master bedroom is an en-suite from what I've been told.
