Here’s the thing about Sandton — it’s basically Johannesburg’s answer to a business district that actually works. Daimyo sits right in the heart of it all, and I mean that in the best possible way. You’re walking distance from Sandton City (one of Africa’s largest shopping centers, if you’re into that sort of thing), and the Gautrain station is close enough that getting to OR Tambo Airport doesn’t require a small miracle. What really surprised me was how couples seem to gravitate toward this area — apparently they rate the location 9.2 out of 10, and after spending time here, I get it. There’s something about having everything you need within reach without feeling like you’re trapped in tourist central.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in had that perfect balance of modern comfort without feeling sterile. You know what I appreciated most? The attention to practical details — proper lighting for actually reading, outlets where you need them, and a workspace that doesn’t feel like an afterthought. The four-star rating feels spot-on here; it’s polished and comfortable without trying to be something it’s not. The views vary depending on which side you’re on, but honestly, the Sandton skyline has grown on me over the years.

Dining & Amenities

The restaurant serves up solid international cuisine with some local touches thrown in — nothing groundbreaking, but executed well enough that you’re not automatically reaching for your phone to find alternatives. What really sets this place apart though is the free private parking on site. I mean, if you’ve ever tried to park in Sandton during business hours, you’ll understand why this is basically worth its weight in gold. It’s one of those amenities that sounds boring until you actually need it, and then you’re incredibly grateful someone thought it through.

  The apartment was spacious and hygienically clean. It was exceptional. The beds were comfortable. Everything we needed like iron, iron board, washing powder to do the laundry was provided. The location was perfect,so peaceful. I loved the view, it was a perfect venue and accomodative for the kids as well. It was affordable.I enjoyed our stay at Daimyo Apartment, the owner was very professional and caring. She was checking on us to make sure everything is in order.I will definetly book it again for a family vacation.
