The apartment I stayed in was genuinely spacious, not that fake “spacious” you get in hotel marketing photos. The kitchen isn’t just for show either – it’s got proper appliances and counter space, which honestly saved me a fortune on eating out every night. The whole setup screams four-star comfort without the stuffiness you sometimes get at that level. What really impressed me was the attention to detail – decent WiFi (tested it on multiple video calls), blackout curtains that actually block light, and a shower with proper water pressure. Sometimes it’s the basics that matter most, you know?

Being right in The Galleries complex means you’re literally an elevator ride away from restaurants, shops, and that fantastic rooftop area where locals hang out on weekends. But here’s the thing nobody tells you – because you’re inside the complex, you don’t get the street noise from Oxford Road or Tyrwhitt Avenue that can keep you up in other Rosebank hotels. The Gautrain station is maybe a seven-minute walk, which is clutch if you’re flying in and out of OR Tambo. I actually watched business travelers wheeling their suitcases straight from the train – it’s that convenient. The Uber pickups are smooth too since drivers know The Galleries well, unlike some of the smaller places where you end up playing phone tag trying to explain where you are. What struck me most was how the staff seemed to get that people staying here aren’t tourists doing the Big Five – they’re here for business, extended stays, or using Joburg as a base to explore Gauteng. They don’t hover, but they’re genuinely helpful when you need something. The cleaning service was reliable, and honestly, after staying at places where housekeeping felt like an afterthought, that consistency matters. Plus, having secure parking included isn’t just nice – it’s essential in this part of town, especially if you’re renting a car to explore the Cradle of Humankind or Pretoria on weekends.

  The apartment was so nice and spacious. I loved the convienance of being able to walk to the Rosebank Mall. It was clean as well. Everything was so seamless including entering and exiting the apartment building. Our stay was amazing and so refreshing.
