The Springfields Complex itself feels secure (which, let’s face it, matters a lot in Joburg), and I never had any issues with parking, which is honestly half the battle in this city. The apartment comes with that promised free WIFI that actually works – I mean, really works, not the usual hotel internet that gives up the moment you try to video call home. And having DSTV was perfect for catching up on local shows and news, something you miss when you’re stuck with basic hotel channels.

What I really appreciated was how the two-bedroom setup didn’t feel cramped or awkward like some serviced apartments do. The living space flows naturally, and there’s enough room to spread out if you’re traveling with family or friends – or honestly, even if you’re solo and just want space to breathe. The kitchen setup means you can grab groceries from the nearby Pick n Pay and actually cook a proper meal, which gets tempting after a few days of restaurant food. I found myself making coffee there most mornings instead of hunting for decent spots nearby (though there are some good local cafes if you know where to look). The apartment stays surprisingly quiet considering you’re in a complex – the walls seem solid, and I rarely heard neighbors, which was a relief after some of my previous Johannesburg accommodation experiences. Check-in was straightforward, no drama, and the staff seemed to actually care about making sure everything worked properly rather than just handing over keys and disappearing. Sure, it’s not going to wow you with fancy lobby art or a rooftop pool, but sometimes you just want a place that feels like a temporary home rather than a hotel room where everything’s bolted down and sanitized to death. For what you pay, especially considering the space and the practical amenities, it’s honestly solid value in a city where good accommodation can get pricey fast.

  The place has everything you need, though there’s room for improvement. The bedding was comfortable—it felt like a home away from home.
  
  What could be improved: The property could use new towels and better curtains for improved lighting. The owner should also check the bathroom pipes. Otherwise, it was a decent place to stay. I’d recommend it, but don’t expect five-star quality.
