I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Executive apartment – Sandton, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a serviced apartment setup. But walking into this place on Katherine Street completely changed my perspective on what four-star accommodation can look like when it’s done right. The building itself has this understated elegance that fits perfectly with Sandton‘s business district vibe, though it’s way more welcoming than those sterile corporate hotels you usually find around here.

What really struck me was how they’ve managed to create actual living spaces rather than just glorified hotel rooms. I mean, you’ve got full kitchens with proper appliances – not those tiny hotel fridges that barely fit a sandwich – plus separate living areas where you can actually spread out and work or relax without feeling like you’re sitting on your bed all day. The furnishings are modern without being cold, and there’s enough storage space that you don’t have to live out of a suitcase for longer stays. Actually, that’s probably the biggest selling point here – it genuinely feels like a temporary home rather than just a place to crash between meetings or sightseeing.

The location is pretty brilliant if you know Sandton at all. You’re literally walking distance from Sandton City and the Gautrain station, which honestly makes getting around Johannesburg so much easier than dealing with traffic and parking headaches. I’ve stayed here during both busy conference seasons and quieter periods, and the staff consistently handles everything smoothly – check-in is straightforward, maintenance requests get sorted quickly, and they actually seem to remember return guests. The neighborhood gets a bit quiet after business hours, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing if you want to get some sleep. Plus, you’re still close enough to the restaurants and bars around Nelson Mandela Square when you want some evening entertainment. What impressed me most, though, is how well-maintained everything stays – you know how some apartment-style places can feel a bit worn around the edges, but this one keeps that polished feel without losing the homey comfort that makes it worth choosing over a traditional hotel.

  The unit is very clean and well equipped. It is centrally located and the hosts are very wonderful, friendly people. They even had some minor plumbing issues sorted out asap while we were there.
  
  What could be improved: It would help to have a second set of keys as my wife and I had different plans with our own friends and we had to coordinate who takes the key.

  It looks different than in the pictures, in a good way!! Its much prettier in real life and it was an amazing stay for us. Flexible host regarding check in times. Gym and pool in the building too which you can use. Would love to come back one day

  The place is clean, self catering service, walking distance to the Gautrain and Sandton City Mall. The host was absolutely amazing, welcoming and interactive with clients.
