I stayed there during one of those hectic conference weeks when half of corporate South Africa descends on the area, and while I could hear the city humming outside, the windows do their job well enough that it never felt intrusive.

What really sold me on the place though was how they handle the practical stuff that other hotels somehow mess up. The elevators are quick (trust me, this matters when you’re running late for meetings), there’s actual decent parking that doesn’t cost a fortune, and the whole check-in process moves smoothly even when they’re clearly swamped. Plus – and this is the kind of local knowledge you only pick up after a few stays – they’re perfectly positioned for those early morning runs through the nearby areas if you’re into that, or quick walks to grab proper coffee before the business day starts. The location means you can actually walk to Sandton City Mall without dealing with traffic, which during peak hours in this part of town is basically a superpower. It’s the sort of place where you realize they’ve thought through what business travelers and visitors actually need, rather than just throwing amenities at you and hoping something sticks. Honestly, for the price point and the quality you get, it’s become my go-to when I need to be in this part of the city.

  Staff were friendly and accommodating. We had dinner at the Riffs restaurant and the food was delicious. The staff were very friendly. Room was clean. Check in process was quick and easy as was check out. Breakfast was delicious, big variety and the staff in the breakfast area were friendly and helpful
  
  What could be improved: Could have provided more toiletries in the bathroom and enough towels for all guests. We were three people with only 2 towels and a very small bottle of body wash. The room also didn't have a mini bar, but to be fair I didn't check if it did before I booked
