The parking situation is refreshingly straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven around Johannesburg will appreciate.

What makes this four-star spot genuinely different is how they’ve nailed the self-catering concept without making you feel like you’re roughing it. The apartments – and I’m talking proper apartments here, not hotel rooms with a mini-fridge shoved in the corner – come with kitchens that you’d actually want to cook in. Full-sized appliances, decent counter space, even proper knives that can cut things. I ended up grabbing groceries from the Woolworths at nearby Nicolway Centre more than once because, honestly, it felt natural to whip up breakfast instead of hunting for decent coffee at 7 AM. The living areas are spacious enough that you don’t feel like you’re camping, and there’s this lived-in comfort that a lot of serviced apartments miss completely.

The staff here genuinely seem to get that business travelers and families need different things from their stay. They’re helpful without being hovering – you know that perfect balance where they’re available when you need something but not checking on you every five minutes. The 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s those small details that add up: reliable WiFi that doesn’t drop during video calls, blackout curtains that actually block out the morning sun, and housekeeping that works around your schedule instead of barging in at 9 AM sharp. During my stay, I noticed they keep the common areas genuinely clean without that overwhelming chemical smell some places have. The location works really well if you need to get around Johannesburg’s northern suburbs – you’re close enough to Sandton for business meetings but far enough from the main drags that evenings are actually peaceful. I’d definitely book it again, especially for longer stays where having that kitchen and extra space makes all the difference.

  The apartment was well furnished, neat and most importantly super clean. The attention to detail was exceptional. There was a full kitchen with an AIRFRYER which I definitely made use of. The host was very attentive and helpful so I truly felt safe and at home.
