I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Littlefield Luxury Suite on Benjamin Street, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. Olivedale isn’t exactly the first neighborhood that comes to mind when you think luxury accommodation in Johannesburg, but you know what? Sometimes the best finds are tucked away in these quieter residential pockets of Randburg.

The moment you step inside, it’s clear why this place earned its four-star rating and those consistently high guest scores. The suite – and I mean actually spacious suite, not those cramped hotel rooms they try to rebrand – feels more like staying in a well-appointed apartment than typical hotel accommodation. The living area flows naturally into a proper kitchen setup, which honestly saved me a fortune on restaurant bills during my stay. What really struck me was the attention to detail in the finishes; whoever designed this space actually thought about how people live, not just how things photograph. The bedroom has blackout curtains that actually work (you’d be surprised how rare that is), and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showerheads that doesn’t sacrifice water pressure for aesthetics.

Location-wise, you’re getting the best of both worlds here. Benjamin Street itself is quiet – I mean properly quiet, not city-quiet where you’re still hearing traffic at 2 AM. But you’re maybe ten minutes from the main Randburg hub, and getting to Sandton or even into central Joburg is straightforward once you know the routes. There’s decent parking right outside, which in this part of the world is honestly half the battle won. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel where you’ll see people walking their dogs in the evening and kids playing cricket in the street – it’s refreshingly normal after staying in some of those sterile hotel districts. I actually found a fantastic little coffee spot just around the corner that clearly caters to locals rather than tourists, which tells you something about the area.

What really sets this place apart is the level of service without the fuss. Check-in was smooth, the staff knew their stuff without being overly formal, and when I had a minor issue with the Wi-Fi on day two, it was sorted within the hour. You get the luxury touches – proper linens, quality toiletries, that sort of thing – but without paying for a marble lobby you’ll walk through twice. It’s the kind of place I’d actually recommend to friends visiting Jo’burg, especially if they’re staying more than a couple nights and want space to spread out. The 9.2 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there; it’s not trying to be something it’s not, just doing everything it does really, really well.

To visit Johannesburg during the vibrant spring season from September to November, travelers should plan ahead as this cosmopolitan city attracts millions of visitors seeking authentic South African experiences and world-class cultural attractions.

  I stayed at Littlefield Luxury Suite in Johannesburg, South Africa during my training trip, and it was a pleasant and comfortable experience. The self-catering unit was spacious, well-equipped, and had free Wi-Fi, which made my stay convenient and hassle-free.
  
  The location was perfect—very close to my training venue—and the peaceful surroundings were a bonus. The host Ms.Shaleen was friendly, responsive always impromptu to my replies, and also guided me to nearby places, which was really helpful as a visitor.

  I love the outdoors despite the on and off weather it was a MUST to go and dip in the plunge pool that is not only friendly to adults who aren’t great at swimming but friendly for the kids to play on too.
  
  The grass and everything else is well looked after and it’s safe and central. I’m very undecided so this place was perfect for me to go out and buy last minute things. It’s also well equipped with everything you might need when staying there.

  Location. Everything you need for your travel is within short distance. It is a save area with peacefull and quite surroundings to relax and get some work done if you want. Very good Wifi.
