The Wi-Fi is solid too, which honestly matters more than I’d like to admit when you’re trying to work remotely or just catch up on Netflix after exploring Johannesburg.

The location works really well if you want to be close to the action but not right in the thick of it. Randburg sits in this sweet spot where you’re still connected to everything – the Gautrain station isn’t far if you need to get to OR Tambo or into the city center, and you’ve got decent shopping and restaurants within a reasonable drive. I mean, you’re not walking everywhere like you might in some downtown areas, but the trade-off is more space and a quieter atmosphere. The staff here actually knows the area well too, which makes a difference when you’re asking for restaurant recommendations or trying to figure out the best route somewhere. Parking is included and secure, which takes one worry off your plate – and trust me, that matters in this part of the world. The whole setup feels more residential than commercial, so you get proper rest without the constant buzz of a busy hotel lobby or corridor traffic at all hours. With that 9.7 rating, it’s clear other travelers have figured out what I did – sometimes the best stays are the ones that feel less like hotels and more like temporary homes.
