The bed’s comfortable, proper firm mattress, and they’ve got blackout curtains that actually work, which you’ll appreciate if you’re dealing with jet lag.

What I really love about staying here is how connected you feel to what’s happening in Maboneng without being overwhelmed by it. You can walk to Arts on Main in like three minutes, grab coffee at that little place on Kruger Street, or hit up the Sunday market without dealing with parking headaches (though if you do have a car, there’s secure parking nearby – just ask when you check in). The building itself feels safe and well-managed, which matters a lot in this city. I’ve stayed here twice now, actually, and both times the check-in was smooth and the hosts were genuinely helpful with recommendations. They know the area well and aren’t just giving you the standard tourist spiel. Last time, they told me about this incredible Ethiopian restaurant that I never would have found otherwise. The whole experience just feels more authentic than staying in some generic hotel in Sandton – you’re actually in a neighborhood where things are happening, where locals hang out, not just passing through.

Travelers should plan their Johannesburg visit at least two months ahead for major events like Heritage Day and Freedom Day celebrations, ensuring the best experiences and prime access to popular districts and attractions.

  It was my first time being in the area & and the apartment was very clean and so convenient to restaurants. It even had a hairdryer, one thing that is rare to find in most places… it came very handy. The management was very polite🤗and allowed us to check out late. I'd 100% recommend this place, and I'm definitely coming back next time. I really enjoyed my stay🤗🤗
