The three-star setup here feels more like proper apartment living than hotel cramped-ness, which I actually preferred. My unit had a decent-sized kitchen that I actually used (rare for me on work trips), and the living area didn’t feel like an afterthought. The furniture’s not going to win any design awards, but it’s comfortable enough, and honestly, after dealing with some of the sterile business hotels around Johannesburg, this felt refreshingly normal.

What I really appreciated – and this might sound weird – was how quiet it gets at night. You’d think being right in the heart of Sandton would mean constant traffic noise, but the building’s positioned in a way that buffers most of the street sounds. I’m someone who usually travels with earplugs, but I didn’t need them here. The staff knows their stuff too; check-in was smooth, and when I had a minor issue with the apartment’s air conditioning (it was making this odd clicking sound), someone was up to fix it within an hour. The building itself feels secure, which matters when you’re navigating a new city – proper key card access and attentive front desk folks who actually remember your face after a day or two. I mean, it’s not luxury by any stretch, but for the price point and the reliable power situation, it hits that sweet spot between practical and comfortable that’s harder to find than you’d think in this part of town.

• Nice Stay and very close to sandton city mall – Victor from Mozambique – September 21, 2025 (7/10)

  The locations is exceptional.
  
  What could be improved: Particularly to the room there are the following points to raise:
  The Room setup
  1. There is a mini wall table in between the kitchen and the toilet – that's not practical for the movement at the room. Maybe put a retractable table.
  2. The closet left door open and tough the TV on the wall – that an issue it will breack the TV.
  3. A Bonus: Would be installing an kitchen Hood/fumes extractor on top of the stove – we struggled while preparing a quick breakfast
  Room cleanness
  1. There were baby cockroaches on the kitchen and appliances – that needs to be addressed.
  
  Besides the above observation it's a very nice room / place; the location is really good – it's steps from Sandton city (5 min walk) to 5th Street entrance and it's safe; Premises are secure and well monitored – we had no issues with our parked car(but avoid leaving valuables inside), the gate keepers were very friendly.

  What could be improved: PillowsThe pillows were very hard and I had to use a blanket instead of pillows to sleep. The sockets and some of the furniture were very worn out.

  The location was perfect, the rooms very clean and spacious. The communication with the host was great.
  
  What could be improved: While the offer for a 20% discount in exchange for a 5 star rating was tempting, the mattress of the bed was super hard and uncomfortable which needs urgent attention especially if someone is coming for a longer stay as it can cause back issues.

  What could be improved: We ran out of water and we had no beck up . That was a horrible night until the next morning when water was restored by the council. Please consider putting a reserve tank for water .

  Exceptional location, less than 200 meters from Sandton City.
  Very cozy, the bed is confertable and clean.
  A complete apartment with a complete kitchen, laundry machine inside.
  
  What could be improved: Communication with the hosts was very difficult. I was unable to contact them through any of the platforms, including the phone numbers provided—neither by phone nor WhatsApp.
  There was no water in the pipes on the last night and the following day. I tried to contact the hosts to inform them that I would need an extra hour before checkout, but I couldn’t reach them. The cleaning lady arrived at 10 AM, and I was not ready to leave the apartment.
  Communication should be improved, and it would be helpful if guests were informed about water supply issues, as this seems to be a recurring problem.

  Accommodation was clean, spacious, and everything that you need in it. the location was very convenient, near to work and malls , no need to drive.
  
  What could be improved: It was a bit stuffy and hot . Front door and window couldn't be opened. Because of privacy.

  What could be improved: The room didn’t specify that there is no opportunity for free flowing air from outside all windows opened into the corridor. Then the gate security was a pain with remote key not working.

  It is a cozy place in a very secure complex and in a prime location in Sandton. So conveniently located that Sandton City mall is a stone throw away and very easy for Uber pick up and drop offs. Hosts made sure all was in order, and the check-in and check out processes were seamless.
