Masingita Towers sits right in the thick of Sandton’s business district, and honestly, when you first walk into the lobby, it feels like you’ve stepped into one of those sleek corporate hotels that knows exactly what it’s doing. The building itself is pretty impressive – you know how some places just have that solid, established feel? This is one of them. What struck me most was how quiet it actually gets once you’re inside, despite being surrounded by all the hustle of Johannesburg’s financial hub.

The rooms are what you’d expect from a four-star property, but there are some nice touches that show someone’s actually thinking about what travelers need. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the views – well, if you get a room facing the right direction, you’ll catch some decent glimpses of the city sprawl. The Wi-Fi actually works properly, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong. I mean, when you’re staying in Sandton, chances are you’re here for business anyway, so reliable internet isn’t negotiable.

What I really appreciated was the location itself – you’re walking distance from Sandton City if you need to grab something, and the Gautrain station is close enough that you don’t need to stress about airport transfers. The staff seem to know the area well too, which is helpful when you’re trying to figure out the best way to get around without dealing with Johannesburg traffic more than necessary. Parking is sorted, which is honestly a relief because finding secure parking in this part of town can be a nightmare. The breakfast spread is decent – nothing that’ll blow your mind, but it’s fresh and there’s enough variety that you won’t get bored if you’re staying a few days. Actually, the coffee was better than I expected, which always puts me in a good mood for the day ahead. You know what? It’s the kind of place that just works – no drama, no surprises, just solid service and everything where it should be.

  The security and reception were very helpful.
  
  What could be improved: The check in process was not good. We waited for an hour to be given the keys. The host never responded to our check in request and there was no number to contact her on. The tv was not working and the WiFi code was not left in the property for us. We had to call to ask for things.

  What could be improved: There’s no aircorn in the whole apartment yet it says air conditioning. There was one fan which was also broken by the plug and couldn’t work. When we checked into the apartment the apartment was dirty and there was dirty plates and glasses in dish washers. There was a bunch of hookah accessories lying by the window sill. No cleaning was done before we checked in. When I phoned them and told them about all this they said it’s because I booked late meanwhile I booked a whole day in advance. I booked on Thursday morning and checked in on Friday night. The owner was also very rude and didn’t want to listen to anything. The apartment number that I stayed in was 813. 8th floor. 2 bedroom apartment

  The property is well situated in the heart of Sandton and very easy to locate.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment is convenient as advertised, The Host was responsive even the caretaker was somewhat helpful even though she can do better with regards to cleaning and making sure not to leave behind wet laundry on the washing machine, Commendable security treatment and safe.
  However, the most disappointing and disheartening moment was when we enter the apartment and welcomed by an unappealing odor of weed yet there was a bold NO SMOKING sign hanging on the wall, the very unpleasant smell was too strong and fresh to a point we had to take Aspirin to manage. I am immensely disappointed on that part.

  There wasn’t much to like the host was very unprofessional and the unit you get will not be the same as the pictures.
  
  Let me explain shortly as you all can see the view from the pictures shows clouds and trees and a nice view. The unit you will get is NOT the same. Maybe photoshopped. To pay this amount there is much better apartments that don’t scam you in the same building. The host is very unprofessional she was yelling and hung up in my face.

  Great location! The host was very responsive and tended to our needs immediately. The apartment had everything we needed, a smart TV, Netflix, Backup Power, well stocked kitchen and very comfortable beds. The electric blankets during the cold season were a bonus. Loved it!
  
  What could be improved: The restaurant on the ground floor gets very loud and rowdy on weekends. Hard to sleep if that is not your thing. The parties that take place over the weekend did not appeal to us, so maybe that place is not suited for us. The sofa was not comfortable at all. Could do with a new one.
