The executive suites actually live up to their name – there’s proper space to spread out your laptop without sitting on the bed, and the kitchenette isn’t one of those sad affairs with a broken microwave and no counter space. I’ve stayed in pricier places in Johannesburg where you’re basically paying for marble bathrooms while everything else feels cramped. Here, the priorities seem more practical. The Wi-Fi actually works consistently (tested it during back-to-back video calls), parking is secure and included, and the staff genuinely seem to know the neighborhood well enough to give you decent restaurant recommendations beyond the obvious tourist spots.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – West Road South isn’t a main thoroughfare, so you’re not dealing with taxis honking at 2 AM like you would closer to Rivonia Road. The building itself has that slightly older Sandton feel, which honestly I prefer to some of the newer glass towers that look impressive but feel sterile. There’s a small gym that’s nothing fancy but has the basics, and the breakfast area overlooks a bit of greenery, which is honestly rare in this part of Sandton. Look, it’s not going to wow you with infinity pools or spa treatments, but if you’re here for business or need a solid base for exploring Johannesburg’s financial district, it delivers on the fundamentals really well. The value proposition makes sense – you’re paying for location, space, and reliability rather than Instagram-worthy amenities you probably won’t use anyway.
