The free parking thing isn’t just a throwaway amenity either – if you’ve ever tried to find safe, affordable parking in this part of Joburg, you’ll know it’s worth its weight in gold. I mean, being able to just pull right in without worrying about your car overnight? That’s peace of mind you can’t put a price on. The Wi-Fi is solid too, handled my video calls without any drama, though I’d probably avoid peak evening hours if you’re doing anything bandwidth-heavy.

What really sold me on this place was the location – you’re close enough to Sandton that a quick drive gets you to all those gleaming shopping centers and business districts, but you’re not dealing with the chaos and premium prices of staying right in the thick of it. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel that I actually prefer to the sterile hotel zones. There’s a decent coffee shop about two blocks down that the locals seem to favor (way better than the chain stuff), and you’re genuinely close to both the CBD when you need that urban energy and Sandton when you want the upscale vibe. The host was pretty responsive too – not hovering, but available when I had questions about getting around or finding decent takeaway spots nearby. Sure, it’s not going to wow you with fancy lobby chandeliers or room service, but if you want a comfortable base that doesn’t feel like every other cookie-cutter accommodation, and you appreciate having your own space to decompress after long days exploring the city, this loft delivers on its promises without any pretense.

  We did not get breakfast, it was self-catering. But we got complimentary drinks and there was coffee and tea. With the complimentary drinks, i wish we were asked if we drink alcohol or not, or at least ask which alcohol we drink. 1 of us did not drink and 2 of us don't drink castle lite. But it was nice to see how you welcome your guests with complimentary drinks. You can even just make them juice or cold drink which you know most people drink
  
  What could be improved: The place was so cold, there was an electric blanket but it was too small only fitted one side of the bed. There was no mop, we would've loved to have a mop so we can wipe the bathroom after showering. Or clean were we spilled a drink. Oh another thing, the dogs were out when we were leaving, which we didn't expect. There seemed to be no one to check them. At least they didn't bite us but please make sure they are always locked in.
