The location is honestly fantastic if you know Rosebank at all. You’re literally walking distance from the Gautrain station, which means you can actually get to OR Tambo without dealing with traffic nightmares, and the Rosebank Mall is close enough that you’ll probably end up there more than you planned. I mean, the whole area has this energy that’s different from the rest of Joburg – it feels safer to walk around during the day, and there’s always something happening. The apartment itself sits in one of those buildings that looks pretty standard from the outside, but once you’re inside, you realize someone actually thought about what travelers need. The Wi-Fi situation is solid – I was working remotely during my stay and never had those frustrating moments where everything just stops loading. And honestly, the backup power saved my laptop battery more than once during load shedding.

What really got me though was how the space feels genuinely lived-in rather than sterile. You know how some places try so hard to be Instagram-perfect that they forget humans actually need to function there? This isn’t that. The kitchen has proper coffee (not just instant), the shower pressure is decent, and there are enough power outlets that you won’t be playing musical chairs with your devices. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak hours – Sturdee Avenue gets busy – but there are options nearby if you’re driving. I’d definitely stay here again, especially knowing that when Eskom decides to remind everyone who’s boss, I’ll still have lights and internet.

  Rosebank is an excellent location for everything.
  Restaurants, shopping, socialising and getting work done.
  The apartment was clean, lovely, warm & cozy especially since I arrived at the tail end of a cold spell.
  My stay was short (a week only) but it was everything I needed including a cleaning service once with a change of clean bedding and clean fresh towels.
  Hanifa is a friendly host and her place is lovely.
  It is safe and secure in the apartment and surrounding areas and there are security guards are always on the streets.
  
  What could be improved: Some really noisy neighbours and/or visitors in the hallways in the middle of the night. Night reception can be more alert about this.
