The neighborhood has this energy – it’s busy during the day with all the office workers, but it settles into something more relaxed in the evenings. The air conditioning was a bit temperamental the first night, but they sorted it out quickly enough. The Wi-Fi was solid throughout, which matters when you’re trying to get work done. I particularly loved the little touches – good quality towels, a coffee machine that actually makes decent coffee, and windows that open properly so you can get some fresh air when the weather’s nice. It’s not the fanciest place in the city, sure, but it has this comfortable, unpretentious vibe that made me feel more like I was staying at a friend’s place than some corporate hotel chain.
