The Wi-Fi actually works (revolutionary, I know), the water pressure is solid, and you’re not dealing with paper-thin walls where you hear every conversation from the neighboring rooms.

What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to create this calm bubble in Sandton – which, let’s be honest, can feel pretty intense with all the business district energy. The area around Wierda Road East is more residential, so you’re not dealing with constant traffic noise, but you can still hop in a taxi and be at Sandton City or the Gautrain station in minutes. The building itself feels secure, which matters in this part of town, and parking isn’t the nightmare it can be elsewhere in the area. I’d say the sweet spot for staying here is if you’re doing business in Sandton but want to actually unwind at the end of the day, or if you’re using it as a base to explore Joburg without feeling like you’re right in the thick of everything 24/7. The relaxation aspect isn’t just marketing speak – there’s something about having your own space with a proper setup that just makes the whole travel experience less stressful.

  The ambience. It’s a great place to relax right next to Sandton city and I loved that the host made the place as comfortable as possible with all the necessary kitchen and bathroom utensils. Love the check out time too as it enabled one to sleep in.
  
  What could be improved: I’m not sure if this is a booking.com problem or the host but I feel the breakdown of the extra costs must be clearly stated so one knows what they are paying and to decide if they would like to proceed. The breakdown came after I had paid making the apartment a little pricey especially as I thought the extra costs were already embedded in the total cost.

  Very well equiped with lots of small facilities for extra convenience. Zero noise although there are permanent residents. Covered parking at the unit itself. Very well situated.
