I mean, this three-star place isn’t trying to be something it’s not, and honestly that’s what I loved about it. The apartments themselves are properly spacious – not those cramped hotel rooms where you’re living out of a suitcase for weeks. There’s actual counter space in the kitchenette (revolutionary concept, right?), and the living areas have that lived-in comfort without feeling shabby. The Wi-Fi actually works consistently, which anyone who’s tried to work remotely from Sandton will tell you isn’t a given. I spent quite a few evenings on the balcony just watching the city lights flicker on, and there’s something oddly soothing about being above the street noise but still connected to the energy down there.

What really won me over though was how the staff seemed to get that you’re not just passing through – they remember your name after day two, they know you prefer your coffee strong in the morning, that sort of thing. The cleaning service strikes the right balance too; thorough but not intrusive. Parking was straightforward, which in this part of town can be a proper headache elsewhere. The building feels secure without being fortress-like, and I never had those 3am worries you sometimes get in unfamiliar places. Sure, it’s not flashy – the décor is more functional than Instagram-worthy, and the gym is basic (though perfectly adequate for keeping up with your routine). But when you’re settling in for an extended stay, whether for business or just wanting a proper base to explore the area, it hits that sweet spot of comfortable, reliable, and genuinely welcoming. You’ll find yourself actually looking forward to coming back each evening rather than just tolerating where you’re staying.
