The apartment itself is spacious and modern, though I’d say it leans more toward functional than fancy. The kitchen actually has decent appliances, which surprised me since so many serviced apartments seem to think a mini-fridge and a kettle count as a “kitchenette.” You’re literally walking distance from Sandton City Mall if you need anything, and Nelson Mandela Square is right there too – though honestly, the tourist crowds can get pretty intense on weekends.

What really sold me on this place was the view from the 5th floor and how quiet it manages to be despite being smack in the middle of everything. Fredman Drive can get busy during rush hour, but the building’s set back enough that you don’t feel like you’re sleeping next to the M1. The building itself feels secure – proper key card access and security desk downstairs, which matters a lot in this part of town. I actually ended up extending my stay by two nights because the whole setup just worked for me. The Wi-Fi is solid (crucial if you’re working), there’s decent parking in the building, and check-in was surprisingly smooth for what’s essentially a private apartment rental. Look, it’s not going to win any design awards, and the furniture is pretty standard corporate housing stuff, but sometimes you just want a place that works without drama. If you’re in Johannesburg for business or need a base for exploring the northern suburbs, this apartment delivers on its promises – backup power, backup water, and a decent night’s sleep in Sandton without paying hotel prices for the privilege.

    What could be improved: The place was dirty, right from the door mat. The glass partitions had finger marks and I managed to right "clean me "on the dusty TV stand. There were ants in the kitchen. The bathroom was dirty and we were not sure whether the towels were clean. There was a water outage for two days and we expected her to phone and find out how we were coping. They charged us 300 Rands for a once off cleaning although we stayed for five days. The day the cleaning was done, one of the replacement pillowcases was old and torn and the bedsheets were not replaced. We would never recommend anyone to stay at this facility for this amount of money.

    The rooftop clubhouse and pool. Great security. Card access needed per floor which is excellent for peace of mind. Such a lovely big shower and comfortable bed.

    What could be improved: The fridge had a bit of smell. One small bin on the balcony is not sufficient for any rubbish.

    The apartment is very clean, and it looks even more nice than on the pictures. The roof top with the swimming pool is a must go when you are in this apartment. I also liked that it's very close to Sandton City, just a few minutes' walk. I'm definitely booking here again.
