I mean, you can hear the city humming in the distance, but at night? Dead quiet. The suite itself has this modern-meets-cozy thing going on that actually works – think clean lines but with throws and cushions that make you want to collapse after a long day exploring Johannesburg. The kitchen is properly equipped too, not just some mini-fridge situation, so I ended up cooking breakfast most mornings instead of hunting for decent coffee shops (though there are some great ones nearby if you’re feeling social).

But honestly, the backup power situation is what makes this place special, and I didn’t fully appreciate it until day two when the rest of the neighborhood went dark during load shedding. While other places were scrambling with candles, I was streaming Netflix and keeping my phone charged – you know how crucial that is when you’re trying to navigate a new city. The host clearly knows what travelers actually need, not just what looks good in photos. The Wi-Fi stayed strong throughout my stay, the water pressure in the shower is fantastic (small things matter when you’re road-weary), and there’s proper parking right outside, which saved me from the usual Sandton parking nightmares. I’d definitely come back – it’s one of those places that just works without any drama or surprises, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  What could be improved: Facility set up, Bed 🛌 base is bigger than matrass and has a sharp corner that hurts. Water pressure was poor and not so hot at the shower.

  Great location, it was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Even managed to catch some sun rays sitting by the pool. I'll be back in warmer weather to swim. And super clean 👌🏽

  Everything. Place was very clean, spotless. Pool was clean(pity it's winter), Everything works perfectly. They have extra blankets and a heater, very secure. And Hazel is very welcoming, helpful and friendly. She just makes you feel at home.. Also loved the fact that its not a party place where there is noise till the am.s. Area is very safe and shopping center not far.. Good for a holiday, trip with friends or solo, even for work. Will definitely be visiting again.
  
  What could be improved: Not sure what was wrong but I felt the water never got hot, it was just luke warm all the time and I struggle to shower with warm water. But place is beautiful and Hazel is a doll so I definitely recommend a visit to it.

  Lovely space with a great view of the garden and pool. The space was really neat and clean and had everything one could need for a short /long-term stay. The host and staff were also so kind and responsive. Felt right at home and will definitely book this place again !
