The location really works if you’re doing business around here. You’re literally walking distance from all the major office towers, and Nelson Mandela Square is close enough that you can grab dinner without dealing with Johannesburg traffic (which, let’s be honest, is a blessing). The building itself sits on a quieter stretch of Wierda Road East, so you don’t get hammered with the constant hum of Sandton’s main arteries all night. I actually slept pretty well, which isn’t always a given in this part of town.

What I appreciated most was how they’ve set up these one-bedroom units – there’s proper separation between the living area and bedroom, not like those cramped hotel rooms where your bed doubles as your couch. The kitchen setup is basic but functional; I made coffee in the mornings and heated up some takeout without any drama. Storage space is decent too, though if you’re the type who travels with three suitcases, you might feel a bit squeezed. The bathroom’s nothing fancy but everything worked, water pressure was fine, and honestly that’s half the battle in some Johannesburg accommodations.

Staff-wise, they keep things pretty low-key – not overly chatty but helpful when you need them. Check-in was smooth, and they actually know the area well enough to give you real directions, not just “it’s nearby” nonsense. Parking‘s available which is crucial around Sandton City, though you’ll want to book it ahead if you’re visiting during busy conference seasons. The whole place has that residential feel rather than hotel corporate vibes, which worked for me but might not suit everyone. I’d say it’s perfect if you want a base that feels more like a temporary apartment than a hotel room, especially if you’re staying more than just a night or two.
