The apartment itself strikes this interesting balance – it’s got all the privacy and space you’d want from a proper rental, but with hotel perks like daily housekeeping and that gorgeous pool area I kept finding myself at around 4 PM when the afternoon light hits just right.

What really won me over was the attention to detail that you don’t usually get in hotel-apartment hybrids. The kitchen actually has proper coffee equipment (not just those sad little pod machines), and the bedroom has blackout curtains that work – I mean really work, which is clutch when you’re dealing with jet lag or those bright Highveld mornings. The building itself feels secure without being fortress-like, and parking was never an issue, which honestly can make or break a Sandton stay. I did notice the elevators can get a bit slow during what I’m guessing are the business traveler rush hours, but it’s a minor thing. The pool area becomes this lovely social space in the evenings, where you’ll chat with other guests who seem to be a mix of extended-stay business folks and people like me who just wanted something more interesting than a standard hotel room. Sure, a 7.7 rating might not scream “perfect,” but sometimes those places with slightly lower scores are actually more authentic and less corporate-feeling, you know?

  Spacious. Close to amenities. Comfortable bed, although the duvet could be bigger for the size of the bed. Great shower. Good facilities.
  
  What could be improved: Upon arrival, there was confusion with our permission to stay at the property due to something regarding Booking.com, so that made us feel somewhat uneasy to begin with. Cleaning wasn't of the highest standard (dusty surfaces) considering there is apparantly a 300 Rand cleaning fee. Lack of TV channels. TV in bedroom didn't work at all and Netflix kept losing connection. No dishwasher (a suggestion would be to have a washing machine/dryer combo to allow space for dishwasher)

  The location is great, quiet and a few minutes away from the mall. The property is very clean and looks exactly like in pictures. The host/housekeeper,Felicia communicated with us the whole time we needed help.
