You’re right in the heart of one of Joburg’s most vibrant neighborhoods, which means you can actually walk to the Gautrain station (huge bonus for getting to and from OR Tambo without dealing with traffic), and there’s this amazing energy around The Zone shopping complex that’s just a stone’s throw away. I mean, being able to grab morning coffee from one of those little cafés nearby and then walk back with fresh pastries – it’s those small things that make a stay memorable. The building itself sits pretty well on Baker Street, and while you’re on the fourth floor, the elevator works reliably (trust me, I checked this multiple times because I’m always paranoid about these things). What struck me most was how quiet it stays despite being in such a bustling area – you get that gentle hum of city life without the jarring noise that keeps you up at night.

The apartment itself feels like someone actually lives there, which I love. It’s got this practical setup that works whether you’re traveling for business meetings in Sandton (easy Gautrain hop) or you’re exploring the city’s incredible food scene and art galleries. The space is thoughtfully arranged – proper workspace if you need to take calls, but also comfortable enough that you can properly relax after a long day of exploring. Storage space is actually decent, parking is sorted (which anyone who’s driven in Joburg will appreciate), and honestly, the whole vibe just feels more authentic than your typical hotel experience. The fact that they’ve managed to maintain such a high guest rating tells you something about the attention to detail here. It’s one of those places where you realize that sometimes the best travel experiences come from staying somewhere that feels real rather than polished to hotel perfection.
