When I walked into the lobby, there was this nice buzz of activity without feeling chaotic, and honestly, the staff seemed genuinely happy to be there (which isn’t always a given in Jo’burg). My room was on the third floor, and I have to say, the soundproofing is surprisingly good considering you’re so close to all the Rosebank action. I could barely hear the traffic from Oxford Road, which was a relief because that street can get pretty busy during rush hour.

What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to capture that local Johannesburg energy without the pretension you sometimes get in fancier places. The restaurant does this great breakfast spread – proper South African fare mixed with continental options, and their coffee is actually decent (coming from someone who’s picky about that sort of thing). Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned to explore everything Rosebank has to offer. The Gautrain station is literally around the corner, which makes airport runs a breeze, and if you want to hit up the Rosebank Sunday Market or catch a movie at The Zone, you’re talking about a two-minute stroll. I spent one evening just wandering through the streets nearby – there’s something really nice about being able to pop back to your room if you need to freshen up before dinner. The whole Keyes Art Mile is right there too, so if you’re into galleries and that creative scene, you’re golden. Parking was straightforward (which honestly can be a headache in this part of town), and I felt perfectly safe walking around the area, even in the evenings. It’s that sweet spot where you get the urban Johannesburg experience without feeling overwhelmed by it.

  The unit is very comfortable, well located, easy parking. Security good and staff very friendly. Reasonably well equipped so that you can cater for yourself in the unit.
  
  What could be improved: Arrival was a problem, first unit we were sent to had not been cleaned from the people who left that morning. Were sent to a different unit and after battling to get wifi codes and Netflix access things were finally on track.
