The street doesn’t get heavy traffic, so you can actually sleep without earplugs, which is honestly a luxury in Johannesburg.

Location-wise, you’re in this interesting spot where you feel residential but you’re not stranded. There’s a decent shopping center within walking distance if you need basics, and getting to the main business districts isn’t a nightmare – though honestly, you’ll want a car or reliable Uber access for most things. The staff seem to genuinely know the area well, which makes a difference when you need recommendations that go beyond the usual tourist traps. I had one front desk person tell me about this local coffee spot that I never would have found otherwise. The whole operation feels more personal than what you’d get at a big chain, and while it’s not going to blow you away with fancy amenities, everything works the way it should. For the price point, especially if you’re staying more than just a night or two, it makes a lot of sense – particularly if you value having your own space and don’t need someone making your bed every single day.

  Location was good. The apartment was spacious and bright with good amenities. It was secure.

  Also to have the apartment perfect and suggestion would be to place a mirror in the 2nd bedroom apartment definitely short of mirrors.

  What could be improved: The place is starting to feel run down. No key Fob to enter front door or parking as given as it is as taken by a previous guest. No air conditioning or fan and it was hot. Beds are too small when you are used to king cal size.

  The apartments are new and modern.
  
  What could be improved: No heater so rather cold in the Joburg winter. The apartments are clearly owned/managed by an investment company. Everything is about the money nothing about hospitality. You need to tell they 10 mins ahead that you will be arriving, which we did 30mins in advance and were still told on arrival that the check in person was not there and would arrive later. You need to sign a 4 page contract (all small print) of which you don't get a copy. They send you a text bring a breakage/fine cash deposit of R 1000 then you do not get a receipt. All the info in the flat is about how much they will charge you if you break a rule. Not a pleasant experience at all.
