The water temperature was perfect when I visited in March, though I imagine it might be a bit chilly during those Joburg winter months.

The real winner here is that full kitchen – and I mean actually full, not those sad hotel kitchenettes with a microwave and a prayer. We’re talking proper counter space, decent appliances, even room to spread out your groceries. There’s a Pick n Pay just down the road (maybe a five-minute drive), so you can stock up without any drama. I ended up cooking more meals than I initially planned because, honestly, the space made it enjoyable rather than cramped. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical accommodation – you’ve got room to breathe, space for your stuff, and that rare luxury of being able to make your morning coffee exactly how you like it. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that drawn-out rigmarole you sometimes get. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty in the evenings when everyone’s streaming, but during the day it’s perfectly fine for work calls or browsing. Being in Randburg puts you in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to hit Sandton for business or shopping (about 15 minutes in decent traffic), but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the constant city buzz. It’s the kind of place that works whether you’re in town for a few days or need somewhere comfortable for a longer stay.
