This three-star setup is actually pretty clever – they’ve converted apartment units into proper hotel-style accommodation, which means you get way more space than your typical hotel room for the money. I mean, we’re talking full kitchenettes with decent-sized fridges, separate living areas where you can actually spread out, and honestly, the beds were more comfortable than I expected. The apartments feel lived-in rather than sterile, if that makes sense – there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that doesn’t feel like it was designed by a committee. The Wi-Fi actually works properly too, which… well, anyone who’s worked from hotel rooms in Sandton knows that’s not always a given.

Location-wise, you’re right in the thick of Sandton’s financial district, which is both a blessing and a bit of a mixed bag. During weekdays, the area buzzes with energy – you’ve got easy access to Sandton City mall (literally a few minutes’ walk), the Gautrain station when you need to get to OR Tambo, and honestly some of the best coffee shops tucked into the surrounding office buildings. But here’s the thing – weekends can feel a bit like a ghost town around there, since most of the nearby spots cater to the business crowd. The traffic on West Road South gets pretty hectic during rush hour, though the apartments are set back enough that road noise isn’t really an issue. Parking was straightforward when I stayed there, which in Sandton is basically a small miracle. The staff genuinely seemed to know what they were doing – check-in was quick, they actually had useful local recommendations (not just the obvious tourist stuff), and when I had a minor issue with the air conditioning, someone was up to fix it within the hour. Sure, you’re not getting luxury finishes or a fancy lobby, but for the price point and the amount of space you get, it’s solid value. Perfect if you need to be in Sandton for business but want something that feels less corporate than the big chain hotels.
