The parking situation is straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven around Joburg will tell you is not something to take for granted.

What really sold me on this place was the apartment-style setup. Each unit I saw had proper kitchenettes with decent appliances, not those tiny hotel fridges that barely fit a water bottle. The living areas feel spacious, and – this might sound weird – but the lighting is actually good. You know how hotel lighting is usually either harsh fluorescent or so dim you can’t read? Well, they got it right here. The beds were comfortable enough, though I will say the walls aren’t the thickest, so if you’re a light sleeper and there’s a family with kids next door, you might hear some activity. Nothing terrible, just something to keep in mind.

The staff runs a pretty relaxed operation, which fits the whole apartment vibe. Check-in was smooth, and they were genuinely helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations – not just the usual tourist trap suggestions, but places where locals actually eat. I ended up at this Ethiopian spot about ten minutes away that was absolutely incredible, something I never would have found on my own. The 7.8 rating this place gets feels about right to me – it’s not luxury, but it delivers on what it promises without any major disappointments. For the price point, especially if you’re planning to be out exploring Joburg during the day and just need a comfortable base to crash at night, it’s a smart choice that won’t break the bank.

  Our package did not include breakfast. I loved the comfort and security. Also the cleanliness was amazing. Its really a good place to be at and its chilled and very executive. I recommend this apartments to travellers as they are also near rosebank mall.

  One Hyde is well located. Overall, the apartment was beautiful and spacious for a group of 4 friends. The instructions we were given where straight forward regarding the key, wifi and codes for entering and exiting the premises.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment was lacking a few ammenities. They didnt have sufficient glasses i.e. flute and wines glasses. The crockery was missing as well. We had a few broken furniture pieces, but should they work on those small things, we would definitely go back

  The area is very peaceful and quiet. I loved how open and spacious the apartment is. We constantly had hot running water. The pool area is also quiet and private. I loved everything about the area. We enjoyed hearing birds, the sou d of trees and the fresh air throughout the day.
