I stayed here during a particularly busy conference season, and while some of the nearby hotels were completely booked and chaotic, Via Arezzio 50 felt like this well-kept secret. The staff seemed to actually recognize guests after a day or two – which, let’s be honest, doesn’t happen much in business hotels anymore. Parking was straightforward too, no circling around looking for spots or dealing with those nightmare valet situations.

What really sold me on the place was how they handled the small stuff. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re laid out intelligently – actually usable desk space, proper lighting for late-night emails, and the Wi-Fi worked consistently (I know, basic requirements, but you’d be surprised how often hotels mess this up). The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after business hours, so you’re not dealing with street noise all night, but you’re still close enough to walk to decent restaurants when you don’t want hotel food. There’s this Ethiopian place just a few blocks away that locals recommended – the kind of spot you’d never find if you stayed at one of those massive chain hotels near the airport. I think what I appreciated most was that Via Arezzio 50 feels like it belongs in Sandton rather than fighting against it. It’s not trying to transport you somewhere else or overwhelm you with unnecessary luxury – it’s just a solid, reliable base that understands why people actually come to this part of the city.

  What could be improved: When we arrived on day one there was no linen on the bed only pillows, mattress protector and pillows an inner with no pillow cases, a sheet and covers for the inner. Also the kitchen did not have a dishcloth
