The location on Grayston Drive is actually brilliant — you’re literally in Sandton’s financial district, which means you can walk to most of the major shopping centers and business hubs. I mean, Nelson Mandela Square is practically next door, and the Gautrain station is close enough that you don’t need to stress about airport transfers. What’s really nice is the parking situation — they’ve got free private spots on-site, which is honestly a godsend in Sandton where parking can be a nightmare. The area feels safe too, especially important if you’re exploring in the evenings.

The Room Experience

My room was spacious and well-designed, with floor-to-ceiling windows that gave me this great view of the Sandton skyline. The bed was genuinely comfortable (not just hotel marketing speak), and the bathroom had this modern rainfall shower that actually worked properly. You know what I appreciated? The little details — decent coffee facilities, enough power outlets near the bed, and blackout curtains that actually blocked out the city lights. The air conditioning was quiet too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to sleep in a busy area like this.

The restaurant serves up a solid mix of international and South African dishes — I had their bobotie one evening and it was properly done, not the watered-down version you sometimes get at hotels. Breakfast was comprehensive without being overwhelming, with fresh fruit and decent coffee that didn’t taste like it had been sitting around for hours. The communal areas are well-designed for both business meetings and casual hangouts, and there’s this nice outdoor terrace where you can actually have a conversation without shouting over background noise.
