The one I stayed in had this great view overlooking the city, and at night when all the office buildings light up, it’s actually pretty spectacular. The Wi-Fi was solid too, which matters when you’re trying to get work done (learned that lesson the hard way at other places).

What really impressed me was how quiet it stays despite being so central. You’d think with all the construction and traffic around Sandton, you’d be dealing with noise all night, but the soundproofing is surprisingly good. The staff knows the area inside and out – they pointed me toward this little coffee spot just around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise. Parking was straightforward, which is more than I can say for some of the fancier hotels where you’re paying through the nose just to leave your car somewhere. The whole setup feels more like having a temporary apartment than staying in a hotel, if that makes sense. Sure, it might not have the marble lobbies or fancy spa treatments of the big-name places, but honestly? For the price point and that 9.3 rating, it delivers exactly what most travelers actually need – a clean, comfortable base in a prime location where you can spread out and feel at home.
